Public collections

Many museums own artworks by the painter Marc-Aurèle Fortin. Many of these works are presented in permanent  exhibitions and can be viewed on site. However, it is advisable to check directly with the museum before visiting, as some works are also kept in storage.

In anticipation of a forthcoming translation, you can click on the link below and you’ll be directed to a French-language page listing museums, heritage institutions and other cultural organizations that own and conserve works by Fortin. These organizations are first listed according to whether they are located in Quebec or elsewhere, then in alphabetical order.

By clicking on the name of one of these organizations, you can view the works in their collection. Works are listed by technique (watercolor, casein, drawing, oil, pochade), then chronologically. Engravings are not included at present, but will be added in the future.  If your organization owns a work by Marc-Aurèle Fortin that is not  listed here, weinvite you to contact us.
